The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has reduced the price of fuel by up to 18 Kenyan Shillings, in the new prices set to be implemented this month.

In a statement released on Sunday, April 14, 2024, the authority announced that the price of petrol has decreased by 5.31 Shillings per liter, diesel by 10 Shillings per liter, while kerosene has been reduced by 18 Shillings per liter.

As a result of these changes, the price of one liter of petrol in Nairobi will be 193.84 Shillings, diesel 180.38 Shillings, while kerosene will be sold at 170.06 Shillings per liter.

In Mombasa, one liter of petrol will be sold for 190.66 Shillings, diesel for 177.21 Shillings, and kerosene for 166.99 Shillings.

In Nakuru, residents will purchase one liter of petrol for 192.90 Shillings, diesel for 179.82 Shillings, and kerosene for 169.56 Shillings.

These new prices will be implemented from today until May 14, 2024.

Kenyan citizens who spoke to Amnon Free Press expressed satisfaction with the new prices, describing them as a sign of the cost of living beginning to decrease.
