The High Court has rescheduled the judgment date for former TV news anchor Jacque Maribe and Jowie Irungu in connection with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani. Originally set for March 15, the judgment date has been brought forward to February 9 following consent by all involved parties.

This decision comes after two previous adjournments, the latest being due to Maribe’s advocate Katwa Kigen informing the court of her unwell condition. Jowie Irungu is the primary defendant in the murder trial of Monica, with charges dating back to 2018 when he was initially accused alongside Jacque Maribe.

Monica Kimani’s body was discovered at her residence in Lamuria Gardens Apartment, situated on Kitale Lane off Denis Pritt Road in Kilimani.
