A bus in the Korabelny district of Kherson was attacked by Russian forces, but fortunately, no one was injured. The attack, which took place on public transport, resulted in shattered windows, but the driver and passengers remained unharmed. This incident was confirmed by Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson Military Administration, who shared the details on Telegram.
The ongoing aggression in Kherson has seen repeated attacks on civilian infrastructure, including public transport. On the morning of August 21, a bus operated by PJSC “Rempobutekhnika-Kherson” came under fire while traveling through the Korabelny district. Despite the damage to the vehicle, with windows being smashed by the impact, there were no casualties among those on board.
Mrochko emphasized the continued risks faced by civilians in Kherson due to the persistent shelling by Russian forces. He noted that while the physical damage to the bus is significant, the fact that no one was hurt is a small relief in a situation that could have easily turned tragic.
The attack on the bus is a reminder of the dangers faced daily by residents of Kherson as the conflict persists. Public transport, a vital part of the city’s infrastructure, has increasingly become a target, adding to the challenges faced by those living in the region. The resilience of the people in the face of these attacks is evident, but the constant threat of violence remains a pressing concern.
