Two Years of Occupation Leave Rubizhne Without Proper Healthcare

In the over two years of occupation, the city of Rubizhne in Luhansk Oblast has seen little to no improvement in its healthcare infrastructure, according to the Luhansk Regional State Administration (RMA). Despite the ongoing occupation, local collaborators have not made any substantial efforts to provide qualified medical care for the residents.

The Luhansk RMA reports that the collaborators have neglected to purchase necessary medical equipment or actively search for medical personnel to address the healthcare needs of the local population. This lack of initiative has left the residents of Rubizhne with limited options for receiving proper medical treatment within the city.

As a result, many residents who require medical attention are forced to travel to Luhansk, where they may have a better chance of accessing healthcare services. In Rubizhne, there is a significant shortage of therapists, and specialized doctors are entirely absent. The situation has become so critical that the Luhansk RMA noted only five people per day are issued vouchers for medical services.

The administration expressed concern over the dire state of healthcare in Rubizhne, emphasizing the need for urgent attention to address the ongoing lack of medical care in the occupied city.
