Kirinyaga Senator Mr. Kamau Murango has criticized some politicians, claiming their statements aim to undermine the fortune within their grasp.

“We, the people of Mount Kenya, are peculiar. We’re trying to catch fish that are already in our basket. Those fish we’ve already taken out to sea are the ones we want to catch in our basket!” he exclaimed.

Mr. Murango complained that the position of Deputy President is a powerful role that the Mount Kenya communities should be proud of.

“We have a share of 47% of the authority of the Kenya First government, but when you hear some leaders from this region lamenting, you’ll realize we don’t understand ourselves because we’re politically attacking our own who are in government,” Mr. Murango said.

He said this situation highlights the residents of Mount Kenya as having a malicious spirit of undermining each other based on envy.
