Russian court sentences hypersonic scientist to 15 years in jail, Interfax says

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian physicist Alexander Shiplyuk was sentenced to 15 years in a penal colony on Tuesday in the latest of several cases against experts working on the science underpinning Russia’s development of hypersonic missiles.

The Interfax news agency said he had been convicted of treason.
