Kenya successfully retained the Victoria Golf Cup title in the 6th edition at the par 72 Kitante golf course, despite being held to a draw by Uganda. The prestigious tournament saw Uganda striving to win 6 out of the 10 singles games to overtake Kenya and reclaim the trophy they last held in 2019 at the same venue.

In the intense singles games, Uganda secured victories in 5 games, but Kenya matched the tally, securing their grip on the trophy as defending champions.

“We were so close to claiming this trophy,” expressed Ibrahim Bagalana, a member of the Ugandan Team. “We shall continue training and trusting the same team.”

The upcoming seventh edition is scheduled to be hosted by Kenya in September.
